CR7 and Messi won't last forever, but SoccerBot368 will

Some day, the CR7 and Messi era will end. Other brilliant players, maybe Mbappe or Neymar, or most likely someone else, will take their place. And then some other player will take that place, and then another and another and another ...

But some day, when Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing), self-replication, AI, Quantum Computing, and Big Data converge and merge, we'll get a new player, a new star that will be "eternal". Lets call this player SoccerBot368. Never injured, never missing a game, always learning, always upgrading, always getting faster, stronger, and smarter, this player will rule "forever". Not just one decade or so like CR7 and Messi, but for many many decades.

We'll certainly create the perfect player, give it all the tools of the fountain of youth, and see it kill the sport. And if we Humans are lucky, our race might live long enough under the new rule to forget that one day two mere Humans, CR7 and Messi, knew how to play.
